The Speech and Hearing Center
About
The Speech and Hearing Center provides speech, language, and hearing services to individuals in the Tuscaloosa community and surrounding areas. Services are provided by graduate student clinicians under the supervision of state-licensed and nationally certified clinical supervisors.

Children and adults needing audiologic services
Adult Neurology Clinic
Individual and group services for adults with acquired cognitive-communicative disorders
Language-Based Literacy Program
Children and adults with reading and writing or other academic challenges
Pediatric Feeding Program
Children with feeding and swallowing disorders
Play Pals
Children ages two to five with and without autism
Project ImPACT
Children with social-communication delays
Client Information
Since the Center is open to the public, self-referral, referral from a physician, or referral from another community agency is common. Many of our services are covered by insurance (see billing policies).
Location
The SHC is located across from DCH Regional Medical Center behind the Capstone College of Nursing.
